Azores
The Azores, an enchanting archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, is a part of Portugal renowned for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush greenery, and unspoiled natural beauty. Comprising nine islands, the Azores offer a paradise for nature lovers with stunning crater lakes, hot springs, and rugged coastlines. Each island has its own unique charm, from São Miguel's vibrant geothermal activity to Pico's towering mountain, the highest in Portugal. The region is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, whale watching, and diving. With its tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking scenery, the Azores are a true hidden gem of Portugal.
Pink House
In the beautiful island São Miguel in Azores a new guesthouse caught our attention – the Pink House. We fell in love with the pink facade nestling between the green nature of Azores. Pink House is a project by Mezzo Atelier and the architect in charge was Joana Oliveira who owns the place with her parents. The old stable from the beginning of the 20th century was converted into two guesthouses where history and contemporaneity coexist in balance.
WHITE Exclusive Suits & Villas
Today, we'd like to share with you another place we stayed at when in São Miguel – WHITE Exclusive Suits & Villas. São Miguel is the biggest island of Azores. More about the island here. We booked this place because of its infinity pool and amazing sea view. We wanted to have a break from all the hiking and driving around by the ocean. And therefore, we enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing stay. The interior is perfect for everyone who‘s into minimalist white boho style and the staff is very friendly. We loved the breakfast diversity and you can have it outside with sea view!
